Privacy Policy

BankJobz ("we") runs a job board for roles at banks and credit unions at bankjobz.com. This policy explains what information we collect, what we do with it, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain language on purpose.
What we collect
- Job seekers. If you create a profile: your name, email, phone, LinkedIn link, location, work preferences, the departments you pick, anything you write in your experience summary, and your résumé. We also extract the text of your résumé so we can rank jobs against your experience. If you apply without a profile, we collect what you enter on the application form.
- Employers. Your institution's name, your work email, and the content of your job postings. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
- Job alert subscribers. Your email and the departments you choose.
- Everyone. Basic technical logs kept by our hosting provider (such as IP addresses) and small amounts of data in your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences. We don't run advertising trackers.
How we use it
- To run the board: showing listings, ranking jobs against your profile, and delivering your applications.
- When you apply to a job, we send your application — including your name, contact details, note and résumé — to that employer. That is the point of applying; the employer then holds its own copy under its own policies.
- To email you things you asked for: sign-in links, application confirmations, applicant notifications, and weekly job alerts you subscribed to. Every alert email has a one-click unsubscribe.
- To bill employers for postings, through Stripe.
- Talent pool (opt-in only). If you turn on "Show me in the talent pool" on your profile, employers with an active posting can browse an anonymous card: your location, work preference, departments, core-system experience, licenses and your experience summary — never your name, contact details, LinkedIn or résumé. An interested employer can send you an invite, which we deliver by email; your identity is shared only if you choose to apply or reply. You can name employers who must never see your card, and you can leave the pool any time by unticking the box.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share résumés with anyone except the employer whose job you applied to.
Who helps us run the service
Netlify (hosting and file storage), Neon (database), Stripe (payments), and Resend (email delivery). Each receives only what it needs to do its job.
How long we keep things
Profiles and résumés stay until you ask us to delete them. Applications stay with the posting so employers can review them. Sourced listings expire from the board automatically.
Your choices
- You can update your profile or replace your résumé any time from your profile page.
- You can unsubscribe from job alerts with the link in any alert email.
- To delete your profile, résumé or applications, email privacy@bankjobz.com and we'll remove them within 30 days, except records we must keep (such as billing records).
Children
BankJobz is for working-age adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
